The majority of people in this country have a debt of some description. For many, this is merely a mortgage. For others, there is rent or a mortgage, credit cards, loans, overdrafts and store cards or catalogues alongside every day bills. A problem occurs when payments are late or are missed. Creditors will charge for late payments. These fees and charges tend to escalate out of control and when minimum payments are met, it is sometimes the case that interest and charges are more than the payment that has been made.
