How to get your site’s pages indexed faster is a hot topic. Social media marketing is huge. I was a little bit disappointed with social media when I first started, because I didn’t see huge results. The fact is I wasn’t looking at the big picture. I saw a bunch of submissions that got me zero traffic, and I got frustrated.
The fact is that unless you already have a loyal following that is helping boost you to the top on digg or stumble upon you probably will not get to the front page. That’s not the point though. The point is getting your links out there to be crawled faster. Even a link that does not make the front page has a higher opportunity to be found by search engines faster.
Social media sites update very frequently so Google is checking them all the time. Unlike your site which could take a while since you don’t post as often. Some webmasters were worried about content scrapers ranking higher than them when they steal their content! Many people have found tweeting your links will get you indexed much faster. Thereby having you indexed first as the original owner and hurting the scraper’s site.
Another thing I didn’t really pick up on at first as that every link adds up. Even if they are no follow links it’s still links pointing to your site floating on the internet. One submission to stumble upon that brings you one hit per month is not a big deal. But if you have hundreds of those submissions it becomes a much bigger deal. You can limit yourself to only the best ones.
I use Stumble, Digg, Reddit, Twitter, and Jumptags in conjunction with OnlyWire. Many people are worried about automatic submission tools, but only wire is not a spam tool. It only quickens the process of what you would do normally. It will not send out thousands of spammy links with your URL. It will submit your URL only ONE time to your selected social networks using your login.
This means every time I publish an article it automatically gets five social media links to help boost it up, and get it indexed faster. It takes me zero time to do this with onlywire set up, and helps me out a lot. This tool is free, and has a corresponding wordpress plugin too!
